What a BIG MISTAKE. We chose this campground because Woodall’s gave it a 3W rating and it is right on the gulf. It should not even be in Woodall’s. This place was a scary dump. They advertise salt water swimming which is dirty brackish snake and alligator infested water, that is if you want to slide down the bank into it. Upon hooking up our motorhome I found the sewer plugged with debris and the power receptacle corroded and melted. I was afraid to plug into it. I actually got out my small files and filed the contacts before plugging in. There was no cell phone reception in the area. The place looked like they just never bothered to clean up after the hurricanes. Fortunately we only planned a one night stay and to this day, I don’t even know why we stayed. I could go on and on but I think you get the picture. There is a MUCH BETTER looking park on hwy 19 right at the turn off to Steinhachee but I didn’t check it out however, ANYTHING would be better than Gulf Coast.
