This time of year the park is not very appealing due to the trees not having their leaves and the grass being dormant however we were here during the summer before and the park looked nice. The staff is very friendly and there are a number of Camp Hosts here. There is a nice lake for fishing (extra charge) or picnicking or just sitting and enjoying. Lots of ducks and some very aggressive geese, they will chase you down. One of the Hosts tells me all you have to do is stand your ground and point at them and they will back down. The only thing that struck me strange is they require a driver’s license, proof of vehicle registration and proof on insurance. If you want a nice site you have to reserve. They place all the good sites on the reservation system and leave the less desirable sites for drive-ins.
