San Antonio Lake is one of two lakes nestled in the hills west of Paso Robles. This is a great place if you love nature, and who doesn’t. You cannot spend much time at all without spotting deer (Lots of deer), squirrels, red headed woodpeckers, and a variety of other bird life I didn’t know existed. The sites are well laid out and spacious amongst the trees. The clearance under the trees can be marginal in some spots though. There is a marina with fuel, a small supply store, and launch ramps to launch your water toys, fishing boat or ski boat. We were in the area with a clubhouse, which came in handy since it rained off and on all weekend. It was a nice warm refuse with refrigerators, stove, and TV.
