This campground is just inside the entrance of Calico Ghost Town. The camping fee includes admission to the Ghost Town. At first sight we were not to happy until we realized this is a rustic setting. There is a paved road in parts of the campground but the sites are dirt and rock. It was a challenge to level in our site. I had to run one side of the motorhome up on blocks otherwise the tires would be off the ground when I put the levelers down (not a good idea). We have full hookups however. There are a few small trees and most are out of season and bare this time of year (February). The Ghost town is something that I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit but it was on our way and time for a stop over. If it wasn’t for the bus loads of Japanese there would only be a small handful of people here. Next time through here we will be doing an overnighter at Peggy Sue’s 50’s Diner just 3 miles down the road.
